Have many people told you that you have a bad breath? Unfortunately, this is the one thing that can lower your self-esteem. But that should not discourage you. By using a combination of products, methods and some dedication bad breath can become a thing of the past.
Use a baking soda toothpaste
The toothpaste that does not contain baking soda only covers up the food and smell of bacteria, and the baking soda actually neutralizes them. The only bad side is that it tastes worse than a regular toothpaste. To cope with this, you can wash out your teeth with an ordinary toothpaste to get rid of the taste of the baking soda.
Brush your teeth regularly and thoroughly
When flossing your teeth, take some time and clean the back side of the teeth thoroughly to remove all food particles. The purpose of flossing is to clean your teeth in those parts that your toothbrush can’t get to. Before switching to another tooth, wash or use a new part of the floss. It is important to floss your teeth regularly and if possible to floss right after every meal to avoid developing an unpleasant smell in your mouth.
Rub your tongue
Rubbing your tongue is as important as washing and cleaning your teeth. There is a whole world of bacteria that can develop and can be the main cause of bad breath, and you can recognize them by giving your tongue a white color. It is especially important that you rub your tongue in the morning because then the chances are most likely to develop these bacteria.
Take enough time for oral hygiene
Wash your teeth after a minimum of 3 minutes. If you constantly have a bad breath, then wash them more often. If you brush your teeth for 3 minutes then you should use a floss and rub your tongue for another minute. It sure is time-consuming but if you want some results, then it will pay off.
Do not eat before you sleep
Going into bed with some food particles in your mouth can have a negative influence on your breath. To prevent this, try eating at least 30 minutes before going to bed. It also helps to wash your mouth after every meal to remove all food particles from your mouth and throat.
Brush your teeth at least 3 times a day
Many people brush their teeth 2 times a day – when they wake up and before bed. If you have a bad breath issues, then it is recommended that you brush your teeth at least 3 times a day – when you wake up, after lunch and before going to bed. This way you will keep your teeth clean and you will prevent any bacteria from building up in your mouth that cause bad breath.
Drink water regularly
Drinking water is a great way to remove this unpleasant problem. The water rinses the mouth and prevents its drying. Drinking water is very healthy and much cheaper than drinking juices. The juices have a high level of sugar and caffeine that stimulate the growth of tartar on the teeth. Also, their environment is acidic – it damages tooth enamel, unlike water whose environment is basic.
