All points are important and significant, each is special for an individual disease. But, there are two leading points which are of particular importance in acupressure and general in the Chinese traditional medicine (acupuncture and acupressure).

It is point number 9, one of the most commonly used points, considered as a point for all diseases from the diaphragm down, and point number 13, which is considered a point for all diseases from the diaphragm up.

Point number 9 

This is also known as the point of stimulation, doping point, specific eye point, general fatigue and nerves, one of the six most important distal points for stomach ailments. Stimulates appetite. This point is very important for all psycho-somatic diseases. In general, it is a regulator of general bioenergy in the body.

Location: It lies about one width of the palm, below the end of patella knee and one finger width to the outside of the leg. The point is in recess, just beside the shinbone.

Technique: With your thumb (left or right), press the point for 15 to 20 seconds. Repeat the same several times. Then do the same procedure on the opposite leg.

Application: abdominal pain, vomiting, constipation, low blood pressure, headache, irritability, insomnia, depression, rheumatic knee pain, hangover, seasickness, sciatica, etc.

  

Point number 13 

This point is considered to be the best analgesic point (against the pains) of the body. It is an inherent point for a sick syndrome.

Location: Located in the space between the thumb and index finger (the second finger of the hand).

Technique: With your thumb (left or right), press the point for 15 to 20 seconds. Repeat the same several times. Then do the same procedure on the opposite hand.

Application: For a headache, toothache, neck pain, migraine, nasal bleeding, nervousness, facial nerve paralysis, inflammation of sinus, lumbago ect.
