In recent years, Chinese traditional medicine, especially acupuncture, takes more and more momentum, which is likely to occur and as a result of the created conditions. Even the World Health Organization recognizes 48 indications that can be treated with acupuncture. In that way, recognition has been given, which was lacking in the achievement especially in the field of medicine, where satisfactory results were not achieved. In Traditional Chinese medicine, besides acupuncture, there are other methods, such as Chinese micro massage, Chinese gymnastics, phytotherapy, acupressure (pressure stimulation) and others.
Stabbing with needles in the acupuncture points of the body, medicine calls it ACUPUNCTURE. The word itself comes from the Latin words acus – needle and pungere – stab. The essence of the acupuncture method is the stabbing of the specific points of the body called acupuncture points. In this way, the disturbed energy balance in the body is restored and the function of the diseased organ is also improved. In other words, this would mean: Stabbing of the points stimulates the secretion of certain substances. They cause a decrease or increase in a number of certain hormones in the body. Each in its own way regulates the functions.
Today, in Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing and other acupuncture centers in China, are faculties, schools, and institutions that deal with the clinical application, scientific-research work and training of personnel educated exclusively for traditional Chinese medicine.
According to the perceptions of the old Chinese, Qi energy in its circular flow аlternately passes from Yin in Yang meridian and vice versa. They are related to the characteristic internal organs they belong to. Throughout the body, as well as in the ear shell, there are acupuncture points located on 12 standard meridians (channels) and 6 extra- meridians (channels). They are treated with acupuncture needles according to rules in Chinese Traditional Medicine.
